The 2012 Hurricane
Sales Tax Holiday will be May 26 and 27. For these two days,
several hurricane preparedness items can be
purchased tax free. If retailers need
additional information, please visit the
Louisiana Department of Revenue.
The
Louisiana Business
Emergency Operations Center, or LABEOC, an annex to
the State Emergency Operations Center is now activated
to prepare for Mississippi River flooding and related
impacts.
The
LSU Ag Center has
the link to online flood insurance maps, offering
explanations on how to interpret flood maps for areas
potentially affected by Mississippi River flooding.
