Administrative and Secretarial Support to the Administration and Planning/Zoning Directors

The City of Franklin is looking for a qualified applicant to perform administrative and secretarial support to the Administration and Planning/Zoning Directors.

Essential Functions:

Issue permits and collect fees according to City Ordinance

Prepare and record information for the computer system, including: closing receipts and balances, account payment, cash receipts and balances

Collect and process payments received, assist in sorting and balancing receipts and payment, encode accounting category, verify account information as required

Prepare and balance cash register receipts, prepare cash for the following day

Prepare public meeting agenda and informational packets, research and compile various types of information, prepare a variety of written materials

Attend meetings as required, take and transcribe meeting minutes, conduct follow-up activities related to actions, including the indexing and recording of documents and processing agreements

Filing, copying, faxing, maintaining files, composing and answering e-mails

Must be organized, have good communication skill and be able to multi-task

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.

Minimum Requirements

Requires high school diploma or equivalent

Must pass a background check and drug test

Must have proof of legal authorization of employment in the United States

Cannot have any felony arrest or convictions

Must be able to be bonded

Must have a current valid Louisiana driverís license
