When it's time for summer and unwinding with a little sports, perhaps some arts and crafts, maybe a table game or two, Franklin's two recreation centers fit the bill.

The Franklin Recreation Center and Broussard-Harris Recreation Center offer summer youth programs as well as the Robert Jenkins Youth Club at Broussard-Harris Recreation Center. There are two swimming pools, for younger kids and for the bigger kids of all ages, as well as swimming lessons offered every summer.
